Innovations

The principle — move the power ceiling rather than the line differential — was established by the Cloud Connection System. What follows are the modifications and extensions that make that principle work in practice.
Each innovation is documented openly. All specifications, build notes, and design decisions are published for anyone to use, replicate, or improve.

Here’s an example of an (Emergent) kite bar based on the power ceiling trim architecture of the Cloud Connection System. However, while the Cloud is designed for kitefoiling in light power IMO, this one (I named that ugly beauty Space Haze) is built for waves and free riding specially. The most special feature/BAR MODIFICATION is the power ceiling trim cleat being placed at the harness’ spreader bar. – I tried other solution but this one is the most efficent I’ve found so far – Another BAR MODIFICATION is the 60cm depower rope plus the stopper; nothing new but absent in the Cloud. It’s very nice to have it specially when the power is light, pulling it means preventing the kite from collapsing when you let go the bar. Hope you Like it! 💙🌊

This is basically the same system, but with a cleat plus quick release from an old Naish bar (I call this bar Boira). You can connect it to any harness that comes with a spreader rope on the harness ( I consider the spreader rope to be more of a bug personally, the Cloud connection at the center of the spreader SS bar, fixed, is more efficent and sound.) Same concept but with 4 disadvantages IMO:

1. Unergonomic / uncomfortable cleat use, 2 you need a brand part, 3 heavier & 4 less elegant/clean/refined.
